Nokia Handphone

Harga Nokia C3 - T-Mobile and 3 are rumoured to be close to completing their joint network infrastructure program, with the end in sight by the close of 2010.

Nokia C3 - In existance since 2007, the 50/50 joint venture dubbed the Mobile Broadband Network Ltd (MBNL) was created so that the companies could share the costs of running and upgrading the network, reduce redundancy, and improve coverage for their customers. Once the work on the shared network is complete, it will be the largest shared network in Europe, with what T-Mobile and 3 are claiming is the 'biggest' 3G coverage in the UK - although there's no specifics on exactly what they mean by biggest.

So far, the 3G network covers more than 7,000 consolidated sites and offers outdoor coverage to more than 90 per cent of the population. By the end of the year, the remaining 5,500 or so sites will have been consolidated, with over 3,000 redundant sites switched off and removed from the network - and the companies hope at that stage to be at 98 per cent coverage.

Additionally, a £400 million planning, opmisation and maintenance contract has been agreed between the MBNL and Nokia Siemens Networks. Graham Payne, managing director of MBNL commented: “Smartphone and mobile laptop data traffic growth in the UK has been unprecedented, and every sign is it will continue growing fast. With Nokia Siemens Networks, we are confident of providing the UK’s most smartphone friendly, high-speed 3G network to more people in the UK than any other operator, delivering exceptional services to both T-Mobile UK and 3 UK subscribers.”

Better coverage and better services to mobile broadband customers are being cited by both companies as the reason for the joint venture, but it will be interesting to see once work is complete how T-Mobile and 3 customers feel about their services.

Zodiak Primbon

Primbon - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have found common ground, and much of it can be attributed to the perfect pairing of their astrological signs. Sagittairius (Brad) and Gemini (Angelina) bond when they're working together for the betterment of others, or a higher cause.

Or how about the perfect presidential couple? Barack and Michelle Obama. He's a Leo, she's a Capricorn. While Leo likes to shine, Capricorn is "steady as she goes," continuing on until a goal is reached, yet both are able to yield to the other.

And in the longevity department, movie couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are still going strong. Homey Cancer aligned with fiery Scorpio provides a balance that makes it all come together.

So what's the secret to these perfect pairings? It's astrological matchmaking, the science of chemistry, and the zodiac at its best.

Komjen Susno Duadji

Susno Duadji - After showing unprecedented courage in publicly diclosing case-brokering practices in the police force, former police chief detective Susno Duadji is now being seen by some civil society elements as the right person to lead the country`s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Susno Ditangkap - Dr Ir Ricky Avenzora, one of the founders of the Indonesian Nationalists Association (Pernasindo) said Susno Duadji is the right figure to take up the now vacant post of Head of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

"In view of Susno Duadji`s firmness and strong personality, he deserves to become the new KPK chief. KPK is in need of a high quality leader like him," he said.

Eighty-eight national figures in early June 2006 declared the establishment of Pernasindo -- in which Kwik Kian Gie is presidium chairman -- an organization which is expected to serve as some kind of national think-tank contributing ideas and thoughts for national self-reliance.

Those who issued the declaration included former Jakarta Governor Ali Sadikin, historian Asvi Warman Adam, Christianus Siner Key Timu of Petition 50, Guruh Soekarnoputra, Jaya Suprana, Marissa Haque, senior lawyer Luput Hasibuan, economist Revrisond Baswir, former deputy chairman of the National Commission for Human Rights Salahuddin Wahid, Sri Edi Swasono, Aria Bima, former lawmaker Bambang Warih Kusuma, and the former Governor of the National Defense Institute Ermaya Suradinata.

Ricky said Susno`s track record was very clear and already tested both as deputy chairman of the Financial Transactions Report and Analysis (PPATK) and when he was West Java Police Chief.

"Nobody in KPK now has a track record as clear as Susno`s. His joining the KPK will no doubt strengthen the institution," said Ricky who is also a lecturer at the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB).

Susno showed a rare civil servant`s courage when he publicly stated that two police brigadier generals had acted as case brokers in money laundering and tax evasion cases. Some civil society quarters saw his disclosure as good public communications and a positive contribution to the creation of a transparent police force.

"In the eyes of high ranking police officers, Susno`s move to reveal alleged case brokers in the police institution is inappropriate and infuriating but we need people like him to uncover irregularities in the police force," communications expert Ade Armando of the University of Indonesia (UI) said.

What was disclosed by Susno was a positive aspect of democracy in a transparent society. If Susno had discussed the matter internally with the police leadership, it would never have been revealed to the public.

"Here democracy shows its virtue. Once a case is disclosed, a chain of reactions will follow. Because Susno felt offended by what was done to him by other high ranking police officers, now he talks to the media," the communications expert said.

That is why, in this case, politeness in communications is no longer important because what is important is to provide information to the public, according to Ade Armando.

Having studied Susno`s statements and action in revealing some disdainful practices within the police force Ade Armando also conluded that Susno was the right person to lead the KPK.

KPK is in need of a figure who has the courage to uncover the irregulities and case brokerage activity tacitly perpetuated by high ranking officials in the police.
In the meantime, Said Nizar, an expert on international law at Hassanuddin state university, said that he also presumed Susno as a figure suitable for the top KPK post.

However, the top post of KPK not only needed a prospective leader who had the courage to take action but also one who was smart enough to investigate corruption cases.

"In my view, Susno will surely be able to do it, as he is a former chief of the police`s detective unit tasked with the work to investigate many cases," Nizar said.

But the problem was who would want to appoint him to lead KPK. "I don`t think that the government will consider Sisno as a candidate suitable to lead KPK, because he is regarded as a controvercial figure who will not be in favor of the government`s interest in the long run."

Susno made headlines with his claims that three high-raking National Police officials accepted Rp25 billion in bribes to drop an investigation into a tax evasion case.

In his previous statements, Susno mentioned the initials of two brigadier generals, namely R.E. and E.I. and several middle-ranking officials, who he said had acted as case brokers in money laundering and tax evasion cases.

Susno told the media that last year, while he was serving as the chief detective, his division was investigating a report about an account that had suddenly received a Rp25 billion deposit.

However, in November 2009 before the investigations were completed, Susno was dismissed from his position for his alleged role in the framing of two anti-corruption body officials.

He was later informed that the investigation had been stopped after which he also discovered that police had tampered with the investigation and stolen some of the money.

Tiger Woods Masters

Tiger Woods Scandals - The verb "to grind" has always occupied a prominent place in Tiger Woods's vocabulary. In his personal usage, it operates according to an unusual set of conjugations, particularly in the past tense: "I grinded, you grinded, he grinded ..." etc. Yesterday was one of those days when he grinded. And at times, like the mills of the gods, he grinded exceedingly fine.

Tiger Woods - So fine, in fact, that he was warned for slow play as he walked up the 14th fairway, having taken his time on several holes to consider and reconsider the direction and strength of the wind and opt for a change of club.

Standing behind the tee at the short 12th hole as he prepared to hit, you could hardly blame him. While the flag on the 11th green, which he had just left, showed the wind to be blowing from left to right, the flag at the 12th indicated the exact opposite. In the circumstances he probably did well to make par at the hole, one of 14 in his round of 70, which put him six under par after 36 holes and peering at the weekend over the leaders' shoulders.

"I wanted to be in contention," he said, "and I put myself right there. It's going to be an exciting weekend." He was able to be competitive after five months away from competition, he added, because his practice sessions with his coach, Hank Haney, in the run-up to his comeback had been so intense and productive. "I didn't have the luxury of playing tournaments so I knew I had to get something out of each one."

The playing conditions, he said, had been more demanding than on the opening day. "It was a lot different today," he said. "The greens are getting faster and the wind was blowing, holding up putts or taking them on a little more."

After a fierce storm swept through Augusta on Thursday night, the skies were clear for Woods yesterday. Although a small aircraft buzzed over the 1st tee as he stood prepared to start his second round in the 2010 Masters, it carried no message for him.

He claimed not to have seen the taunting banners trailed across the sky behind a light plane – "TIGER: DID YOU REALLY MEAN BOOTYISM?" followed by "SEX ADDICT? YEAH. RIGHT. SURE. ME TOO" – while he was playing his opening round on Thursday. "It wouldn't be the first time," he said.

Now, however, the identity of the mystery pilot of the single-engined Cessna has become the subject of an inquiry by the Federal Aviation Administration. There are no specific restrictions governing the airspace above the 350-acre Augusta National course. During Masters week, however, the air is crowded with so many corporate jets bringing America's masters of the universe to the event that the FAA issues a "non-mandatory advisory" asking pilots not to fly within two nautical miles of the area or below 2,500ft over the club.

While the little white Cessna appeared to be flying at approximately the requested altitude, the pilot certainly infringed the first part of the request. An FAA spokeswoman said they would be checking whether the pilot had the permission necessary for his flights.

The intrusion failed to ruffle Woods's attempt to give his image a makeover. On Wednesday night he spent an hour at the American golf writers' dinner, and by the time he appeared on the 1st tee to begin his opening round the following afternoon he had removed all traces of the mildly aggressive goatee that had accompanied him through his practice rounds. His appearance was restored to that of the smooth-cheeked young man, barely out of college, who burned up the course and his opponents back in 1997.

In his play, too, he was recognisable as the man who is now setting off once again in pursuit of Jack Nicklaus's 18 major titles. "Technically, everything's exactly the same," Nick Faldo told the US television audience, comparing the Woods of this week with the pre-scandal version. Once again Woods felt the warmth of a crowd who evidently feel that he has already paid in full for whatever crimes he may be deemed to have committed.

Yesterday's second round began with a drive into the trees and a long second shot that left him short of the bunker guarding the 1st green. If the recovery had been workmanlike rather than magical, the miracle the crowd were hoping for arrived with the next shot, a feathered chip from 60ft that took him to within 2ft of the pin.

After hitting his second shot through the green at the long par-five 3rd, he produced another elegant escape before holing a 3ft birdie putt to take himself to five under par. There was a curious uncertainty on the tee at the short 4th, however, when he pulled away from the shot twice, changed his club twice, and still watched the ball drift high and wide of the green, landing between a bunker and the wall of a grandstand and dropping him back to four under.

Confronted by pin positions vastly more demanding than had been provided 24 hours earlier, further progress was slow in coming – and when it did come, as in the tumultuously acclaimed birdie achieved with a 20ft putt at the 15th, it was hard-earned. In making that discovery, he was by no means alone yesterday.

SA urges calm after Terre'blanche murder

Contoh Makalah - South African President Jacob Zuma called for calm yesterday after the killing of white far-right leader Eugene Terre’blanche in a suspected pay dispute with black workers fanned fears of racial strains.

Makalah - Police detained two farm workers and said they were investigating the quarrel they had with Terre’blanche, but his Afrikaner Resistance Movement (AWB) says he was battered and hacked to death in an attack with political overtones.

Zuma, who has made it a priority to court white Afrikaners, called it a “terrible deed” and urged South Africans “not to allow agent provocateurs to take advantage of this situation by inciting or fuelling racial hatred”.

Terre’blanche, 69, was the voice of hardline opposition to the end of apartheid in the early 1990s although his party has played a marginal role since then and does not have a big following among the 10 percent of white South Africans.

The AWB urged restraint while the funeral is prepared and before the party decides next steps. In Ventersdorp, in rolling farmland over 100 km west of Johannesburg, party followers in paramilitary khaki laid flowers at the farm gate.

“We will decide upon the action we are going to take to avenge Terre’blanche’s death,” said spokesman Andre Visagie.

Concerns over increasing racial polarisation have been thrown into the open by a row over the singing of an apartheid-era song with the lyrics “Kill the Boer” by the youth leader of the ruling African National Congress.

The ANC has defended the song as no more than a way to remember a history of oppression, but it has worried minority groups and particularly white farmers, some 3,000 of whom have been killed since the end of apartheid.

“The killing of Terre’blanche will symbolically be seen as a strain of these relationships,” said analyst Nic Borain of HBC Securities.

“But Terre’blanche is an old criminal and I don’t think people would come to his defence or his killing somehow invigorate white people opposition to the new South Africa.”

Terre’blanche’s party did not hesitate to link the murder to the song. He had always described himself as a Boer. “That’s what this is all about,” Visagie said.

Zuma’s spokesman Vincent Magwenya said, however, there was no evidence at this stage linking the killing to the song sung by firebrand ANC youth wing leader Julius Malema.

Terre’blanche had lived in relative obscurity since his release from prison in 2004 after serving a sentence for beating a black man nearly to death.

The party -- whose flag resembles a Nazi swastika -- was revived two years ago and he had begun efforts to try to build a united front among white far-right parties to fight for a white homeland, but had gained little traction.

Terre’blanche was a powerful orator in his Afrikaans language and was a distinctive figure, heavily built, with a thick grey beard and dressed in khaki. He often attended rallies on horseback during his fight to stop majority rule.

Police said the suspected killers were aged 16 and 21. Both had worked for Terre’blanche.

“It seems there was a dispute between and these guys were arrested ... The police are investigating and the public will be kept abreast,” Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa told a news conference. “Somebody is dead, can we keep it at that.”
